ShopSavvy Revs Software, Takes Wallet Live
Dallas-based ShopSavvy, the developer of barcode scanning applications, has upgraded its software, saying today that its ShopSavvy 5 product for iOS and Android now includes its wallet feature. ShopSavvy's new wallet feature--which it has been working on for some time--allows users to easily purchase products from online retailers such as Buy.com and Barnes and Noble with a single tap. ShopSavvy said it has 49 retailers so far supported by its online wallet software. ShopSavvy's mobile software can be used to scan any product barcode, to see online comparison of prices of that exact item. ShopSavvy competes against similar mobile apps like eBay's RedLaser, and Amazon.com.
