ShopSavvy Promotes Toys for Tots
Dallas-based ShopSavvy, the mobile barcode scanning developer headed by Alexander Muse, said yesterday that it has donated all of its remnant ad inventory to the Toys for Tots program, the effort run by the United States Marine Corps. to collect toys for children at Christmas. ShopSavvy's apps now allows users of the barcode scanning all to contribute to the effort when making purchases, allowing users to purchase products directly from its mobile wallet, and automatically shipping products to a Toys for Tots distribution facility. The firm said the move came due to Muse being a member of the USMC in the early 90's. The company said that around 140,000 shoppers each day are seeing the ads.
