SailPoint Technologies Inc., a publisher of identity risk management software, reported Monday that it has hired Darran Rolls as chief technology officer. SailPoint described Rolls as a 20-year veteran of the identity and security software industry. Prior to joining SailPoint, Rolls chaired the OASIS Provisioning Services Technical Committee. He also held senior technical leadership roles at Sun Microsystems, Waveset Technologies, IBM/Tivoli, PointOne Telecommunications and DBMX. Founded in December 2005, SailPoint is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and is venture backed by LightSpeed Venture Partners, Austin Ventures, Origin Partners, and Silverton Partners.
