RipCode Hires Hartsell as Marketing VP
RipCode Inc., a developer of video transcoding hardware, reported Tuesday that Neal Hartsell has joined the company as vice president of marketing. In this role, RipCode explained, Hartsell will supervise the strategic product roadmap for its next generation of video delivery applications. Prior to joining the Dallas-based firm, RipCode said, Hartsell served as vice president of worldwide marketing for TippingPoint Technologies. Before that, RipCode said, he held vice president of marketing positions at 3Com, Crossroads Systems and Surgient Networks. He has also worked for Cisco Systems, ECI Telecom, Northern Telecom and NetSpeed. RipCode is a privately held company backed by Hunt Ventures, Vesbridge Partners, El Dorado Ventures and ATA Ventures. The firm's products are used to transcode video streams into different mobile video formats.
