RetailMeNot is launching a big, media and marketing campaign to get the word out about its coupon and deals site, parent firm WhaleShark media said today. RetailMeNot said it is launching a new branding campaign across national television networks, including HGTV, E!, Bravo, TLC, Food Network, USA, TNT and others. The site said that the campaign--developed by agency GSD&M--will help consumer understand how they can save money on products using coupons on RetailMeNot. Austin-based WhaleShark did not say how much it is investing in the branding campaign, which is called "Score the Savings You Want". Typically, television advertising and branding has been a very expensive proposition for companies. GSD&M is also based in Austin, and is handling both the creative aspects as well as media planning and buying for RetailMeNot.
