Rackspace Gets Win With StrongMail

San Antonio-based Rackspace Hosting, a provider of web hosting and colocation services, has signed on StrongMail Systems, a provider of marketing email software, the firm said Wednesday. Rackspace and Strongmail said that StrongMail becomes a strategic partner in Rackspace's Solution Partner Network, and will resell and refer customers between the two companies. The move comes as StrongMail--which previously sold software for on-premise install--expands into software-as-a-service and hosted offerings. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Rackspace will provide the IT hosting and maintenance for StrongMail's on-demand offering.
