Rackspace Expands In Chicago

San Antonio-based hosting firm Rackspace said late Wednesday that it has plans to expands its data center facility in the Chicago area. According to Rackspace, it will be leasing approximately 28,200 additional square feet of raised floor space in the city. Rackspace said it will be leasing the space from a subsidiary of DuPont Fabros Technology, a data center operator, bringing its total space in the location to approximately 65,000 square feet and 9.9 megawatts of power. The firm said the expansion is due to continued growth across both its cloud and managed hosting businesses.
