Prescient Sets Up Shop In Houston After Funding Round

A startup developer of pre-built building structures and systems, Prescient, said this morning that it has raised $3M in funding and set up a production facility in Houston. The startup--which is based in Denver, Colorado--said it raised $3M as part of an ongoing $10M funding round, to help bring its new Houston-based manufacturing facility online in 2014. Prescient is developing pre-built structural systems which are used to quickly build structures up to 12 stories, and are a replacement for wood, concrete, and other framing options. The company said the selection of Houston will give it direct access to the major U.S. growth markets of Texas, Louisiana and the South Central Region. Prescient is backed by Kanusul Investments Pte. Ltd. More information »
