    Powered Appoints CEO


    Austin-based Powered said today that it has appointed Ken Nicholson as the firm's President and CEO. Nicholson was most recently Chief Marketing Officer at Pluck, and has also served at Veridiem, Alphablox, Kiva Software, Red Brick Systems, Informix and IBM. Powered is a provider of online social marketing products focused on the consumer space, and is venture backed by Austin Ventures and Liberty Mutual. Powered said that Nicolson will oversee day-to-day operations and guide the company’s overall business strategy.
