Pluck Gets Win At Frommer's
Austin-based Pluck Corp., a publisher of white-label social networking software for businesses, revealed Monday that a popular travel Web site is leveraging Pluck technology to power its user-driven content. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. Pluck said the new client, Frommer's, is using Pluck's social media platform to provide features such as travel blogs, traveler forums and user-submitted photo pages. A John Wiley & Sons Inc. brand, Frommer's publishes guides for travelers of all types. Pluck is a wholly owned subsidiary of Demand Media, a privately held company headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif.
