Pluck Gets UK Newspaper Win
Austin-based Pluck, developer of a social media platform for Web publishers, revealed Tuesday that its technology is powering social media functions for a popular U.K.-based newspaper's Web site. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. According to Pluck, thelondonpaper boasts a daily readership of more than 1 million and targets 18- to 35-year-olds. Pluck said the paper, which is owned by News Corp., deployed Pluck's SiteLife platform in early April. Pluck Corp. is a subsidiary of Santa Monica, Calif.-based Demand Media.
