Addison, Texas-based PICKUP, which operates an on-demand, delivery app and service, said today that it has raised $600,000 in a seed funding round. Source of the funding was not announced. PICKUP said its on-demand service is aimed at consumers and businesses who need someone with a pickup truck to help with local delivery. PICKUP is led by Brenda Stoner, and says it specifically has been recruiting active military, veterans, and firefighters to become drivers for the service.
