Pi Studios Helps Produce PS2 Port of 'Rock Band'
Harmonix, a publisher of music-based games, co-developer MTV Games, a member of Viacom's MTV Networks, and distributor Electronic Arts announced Monday that a special edition of the popular “Rock Band” simulation game for the PlayStation2 entertainment system will ship to U.S. retail stores today. Called the "Rock Band Special Edition Bundle," the PlayStation2 version of the game includes many of the same features offered in the PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 titles, including Band World Tour and Score Duel. The PS2 version was engineered with help from Pi Studios LLC, a Houston-based independent video game developer. The company was founded in 2002 and is perhaps best known for its work on Activision's "Call of Duty" franchise.
