Performix Inc., a Houston-based publisher of manufacturing execution system software, reported Thursday that Brian Ghannam has joined the company as director of sales. Ghannam hails from computer software firm SAP, where he served as director of alliances for its Perfect Plant Sales Organization. Before SAP, Performix said, Ghannam was director of business development at Visiprise Inc. Ghannam managed a global partnership with SAP for Visiprise until SAP acquired Visiprise in July 2008, Performix added. Performix is venture backed by DFJ Mercury and RPM Ventures.
