PatientCentral Debuts User-Friendly Medical Archive
The Texas Medical Center reported Wednesday that its PatientCentral Technologies team has launched a digital healthcare database that will enable consumers to access and retrieve their personal medical files from virtually anywhere and at anytime. Called MyHealthArchive, the new technology allows patients to better monitor their medical histories. They can even carry their data with them on a compact disc, PatientCentral said. The files would include vital information, such as previous illnesses, allergies, current prescriptions, high-risk medications, contact lists, appointments and other reminders. PatietnCentral Technologies LLC is headquartered in Houston.
