ON Networks Trials Content-Based Ads
Austin, Texas-based ON Networks Inc., a distributor of original, high-definition video programming, reported today that several advertising agencies have joined its partner program for testing new forms of content-based advertising. Among those are Carmichael Lynch, TPN, GSD&M's Idea City, Critical Mass and SicolaMartin, ON Networks said. The company explained that its advertising model employs a novel concept whereby advertisements are attached to its shows. As a result, the ads remain with the programming regardless of where or how it is displayed. ON Networks said Carmichael Lynch will be one of the first agencies to begin advertising as it trials a Jack Link's Beef Jerky campaign later this month during the show “Stump the Chef.” ON Networks is a privately held company backed by Austin Ventures and AT&T.
