Austin-based NextIO, a developer of I/O virtualization products for the data center market, said this week that Mike Heumann has joined the firm as its Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Heumann has served at such companies as Astute Networks, Dot Hill, AMCC, and JNI. The firm said that Heumann has over 25 years of high tech marketing and sales experience. NextIO is backed by Adams Capital Management, Crescendo Ventures, Dell Computer, JK&B Capital, and VentureTech Alliance.
