Friday, October 20, 2017 Whole Foods Reports On Point Of Sale Systems Compromise Austin-based Whole Foods Market says that it has concluded its investigation into the unauthorized access to payment card information at the company's stores--which were announced on September 28th--saying that its investigations have determined that unauthorized, third-party software had been loaded onto certain point-of-sale systems at tap rooms and full table-service restaurants located within some of its stores. According to the 2017 Startup Activity Index, Austin ranked as number 2 in the nation for startup activity, San Antonio as number 6, Houston as number 9, and Dallas as number 11.
