 Friday, June 16, 2017 Amazon Buys Whole Foods Market For $13.7 Billion Austin-based Whole Foods Market is being acquired by Amazon.com, the companies announced this morning, in a giant $13.7 billion deal. According to the two, Amazon will pay $42 per share in cash for Whole Foods Market, including the grocery chain's net debt.
