    PICKUP Raises $1.9M For On Demand Delivery Service
    Dallas-based PICKUP, the on-demand delivery startup which harnesses veterans and firefighters with pickup trucks to help deliver furniture, appliances, and other bulky items, has raised $1.9M in a funding round. PICKUP said the funding came from Albert Cantu, the former President of pest control company Terminix. PICKUP currently offers up its services in Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Houston.     Trend Micro CTO, Raimund Genes, Dies Suddenly
    Dallas-based cybersecurity software developer Trend Micro announced this morning that its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Raimund Genes, has died suddenly, at age 54. According to Trend Micro, Genes died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Friday, March 24th. Genes was at his family home in Germany. Genes had been at Trend Micro for the last 21 years, having founded Trend Micro's German subsidiary, Trend Micro Deutschland GmbH, in 1996.

    SpareFoot Doubles Full Service Storage Reach
    Austin-based online self storage marketplace SpareFoot announced this morning that it is doubling the number of metro areas where it is offering up its "full-service storage" offering, where it picks up, stores, and returns items on demand. According to SpareFoot, the service is now available in almost 50 markets.     COPsync Abruptly Fires CEO
    Dallas-based COPsync, which develops communications and collaboration tools for the law enforcement community, said this morning that it has dismissed its CEO, Ronald A. Woessner, and "terminated his employment". Reason for the sudden dismissal was not announced. COPsync said the move was made by the board, which also appointed Mr. Philip J.
