    Report: Spredfast Slashes 47 Employees, Shuts Wisconsin Office
    Austin-based marketing technology startup Spredfast is slashing jobs and closing its Wisconsin office, according to a leaked internal memo. The memo--which was sent to the State of Wisconsin as part of layoff procedures--says that Spredfast has laid of 47 employees and plans to close its Madison, Wisconsin office in August.     Omnitracs Upgrades Fleet Management Software
    Dallas-based Omnitracs, which develops fleet management software used by large fleet operators, has upgraded its flagship Roadnet Anywhere software. According to Omnitracs, the major upgrade to the tool are new tools for route optimization, as well as a mobile app update t provide drivers with real-time views into their route progress.     TPG Capital Buys Mediware
    Fort Worth-based private equity investor TPG Capital said Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of Mediware Information Systems, a developer of a software platform used by healthcare and human services providers. Financial details of the transaction were not announced. TPG acquired Mediware from another private equity investor, Thoma Bravo.

    Zenoss Rolls Out SDK For Third Party Plugins
    Austin-based hybrid cloud monitoring software developer Zenoss is making it easier for third party developers to plug into its software, with a new software development kit (SDK), the company said this week.
