    End Of An Era At HomeAway, As Sharples Steps Down As CEO
    Austin-based HomeAway is facing an end of an era, as co-founder and longtime CEO Brian Sharples is stepping down from his day to day role at the company, the company said earlier this week. According to Expedia--the new owner off HomeAway--Sharples will become Chairman of the company through January of 2017. HomeAway will hand over control of HomeAway to new president JOhn Kim.     Caringo Gets $8.8M More
    Austin-based Caringo, which develops object storage software, said this morning that it has raised $8.8M in a new venture funding round. The Series B funding brings the company's total raised to $33M. Caringo, which is led by Jonathan Ring, said it will use the funding for development, marketing, and distribution of its product.     Marquis Software Solutions Acquired By Falfurrias Capital Partners
    Plano-based Marquis Software Solutions, a developer of marketing software for bank and credit unions, has been acquired by private equity investor Falfurrias Capital Partners. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Falfurrias Capital partners is based in Charlotte, NC.
