Thursday, September 29, 2016 End Of An Era At HomeAway, As Sharples Steps Down As CEO Austin-based HomeAway is facing an end of an era, as co-founder and longtime CEO Brian Sharples is stepping down from his day to day role at the company, the company said earlier this week. The Series B funding brings the company's total raised to $33M. Caringo, which is led by Jonathan Ring, said it will use the funding for development, marketing, and distribution of its product.
