 Tuesday, August 30, 2016 National Instruments Sets Stage For New CEO, After 40 Years Austin-based National Instruments (NI) has set the stage for a new CEO, saying this morning that it will appoint Alex Davern as the new CEO and President of the company, starting in January of next year. NI said that Davern will replace Dr. James Truchard, the 73 year old founder of the company, in the CEO position. Truchard will remain Chairman of the Board.
