    Vista Equity Buys Granicus
    Austin-based private equity investor Vista Equity Partners has acquired cloud-based government software developer Granicus, the two announced on Thursday. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Granicus was owned by private equity ivnestor K1 Investment Management, which retains a minority stake in the company. Granicus is based in Denver, Colorado.

    VUV Analytics Gets $6.5M
    Austin-based VUV Analytics, a developer of vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) absorption spectroscopy equipment, has raised $6.5M in a Series B funding, the company said Thursday. The funding was led by New Science Ventures, and also included S3 Ventures. Vivek Mohindra of New Science Ventures joins the company's board with the funding.     Tyler Technologies Wins Deal In Oregon
    Plano-based Tyler Technologies reported Thursday that it has signed a contract with Washington County, Oregon, for its Orion appriasal and tax administration software. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Washington County has more than 1,900 employees and has approximately 570,000 residents, according to Tyler Technologies.

    Trend Micro, Wind River Team On NFV

    Dallas-based security software developer Trend Micro, and embedded software developer Wind River, said the two have teamed up to tackle the "Network Function Virtualization" (NFV) market.
