    Skyonic Names Former GE Research Chief As Chairman
    Austin-based Skyonic Corporation, a developer of carbon capture technology, said Monday that it has named Dr. Mark Little as its Chairman of the Board. Little was SVP, Director of General Electric Global Research and Chief Technology Officer of GE up until December of last year; he also served at Vice President of GE Energy's power generation segment, among other roles within GE.     Savara Pharmaceuticals Buys Serendex Pharmaceuticals
    Austin-based Savara Pharmaceuticals has acquired the assets of Serendex Pharmaceuticals, a developer of treatments for autoimmune disorders. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Savara Pharmaceuticals said the acquisition adds two new programs to its pipeline. Serendex's lead product is Molgradex, which is an inhaled form of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), used for treating autoimmune pulmonary alveolar (More info...)

    SparkCognition Names Former U.S Marine Corps General To Board
    Austin-based Spark Cognition, a startup developing artificial intelligence software for the cybersecurity market, has added retired U.S. Marine Corps General John Allen to its board of directors, the company announced this morning. General Allen is the former Commander International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), the Deputy Commander US CENTCOM, and Special Envoy to the President.
