    OncoResponse Adds Baxalta As Investor, Boosts Round To $12.5M
    Houston-based biopharmaceuticals developer OncoResponse said Thursday that it has upped its Series A financing to a total of $12.5M, after securing a new investment from Baxalta. The Series A--which initially closed in October of 2015--was co-led by ARCH Venture Partners, Canaan Partners and MD Anderson, with William Marsh Rice University and Alexandria Real Estate Equities.     Reata Pharmaceuticals Raises $60.5M In IPO, Surges Bump In Debut
    Irving, Texas-based Reata Pharmaceuticals raised $60.5M in its IPO on Thursday, with its debut on the NASDAQ Global Market as RETA. Reata, which priced its IPO late Wednesday at $11 per share, closed at $13.07 per share on Thursday. The company--which priced below its initial estimates of $14 and $16 per share--was backed by CPMG, Novo A/S, Cardinal Investment Company, and AbbVie, among others.     Dell Services Names VP For Healthcare, Life Sciences
    Plano-based Dell Services, the services and consulting arm of Dell, said Thursday that it has named Dan Allison as its new Vice President and Global General Manager for Healthcare and Life Sciences.     Embarcadero Technologies Rolls Out Monthly App Contest
    Austin-based Embarcadero Technologies, which develops a number of software development tools, said it has launched a new monthly contest to award prizes to developers of "cool apps".
