    Waldo Photos: Finding Your Photos In the Proverbial Haystack

    Are you out in public a lot--at festivals, weddings, sporting events, and elsewhere--and wish you had a way to find photos of yourself from those events? Waldo Photos (http://waldo.photos) is hoping to make that as easy as just hopping on your phone and opening an app. The Austin startup recently raised seed funding to build out its solution.

    Xplore Technologies Wins $1M Contract
    Austin-based rugged tablet computer maker Xplore Technologies reported a $1M contract win, from an un-named provider of logistics and delivery services. According to Xplore, the orders are for its Motion F5m Windows tablets, which it says will be used to verify, certify, and analyze delivery routes. The Xplore tablet includes 4G XLTE mobile broadband support.

    Eltek Debuts New Power Electronics Technology
    Plano-based power electronics maker Eltek said Tuesday afternoon that it has launched what it says is a "breakthrough" power electronics product, called a "rectiverter". Eltek--whose products are widely used in the telecommunications industry for DC power supplies--said its new product combines the functions of three components, a rectifier, inverter, and static transfer switch, into a single module.     Austin Number 3 In U.S. For Moves Into Town
    No, you are not mistaken: there are more of those U-Haul moving vans than ever in traffic around here. According to moving van rental company U-Haul, there are so many people moving into Austin, it has ranked the company as the number 3 city in the U.S. for moves in 2015 for the company. The company said that its locations in Austin saw 50.8 percent of truck rental customers coming into the city, as opposed to leaving, and also said that Austin is a "hotbed" for migration activity and population (More info...)
