    Kixer, With Tech Team In Austin, Acquired
    Kixer, a developer of mobile advertising technology which has its tecnical team in Austin, has been acquired by LAKANA, which develops content management software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Kixer was venture backed by Lowercase Capital, TenOneTen, as well as angels, and has its business headquarters in Los Angeles.

    GameSalad Debuts HTML5 Publishing Tool
    Austin-based videogame development tools developer GameSalad announced today that it has launched a new, standalone HTML5 publishing platform. According to GameSalad, the new feature of its GameSalad Pro service lets its subscribers generate HTML5, server-ready, packaged games, which can easily be embedded in websites.     PLx Pharma Files For IPO
    Houston-based PLx Pharma, a biopharmaceuticals developer which is developing compounds to improve oral absorption of drugs, has filed for an IPO, saying that it is looking to raise up to $20M in an offering on the NASDAQ Capital Market. The company says it is looking to trade as PLXP. The company has a single underwriter on its offering, Maxim Group LLC. PLx Pharma is venture backed by Aurus Bbios Fondo de Inversion, Integra Ventures, and others.

    TVA Medical Raises $15M In Series C Funding
    Austin-based TVA Medical, a developer of minimally invasive treatments for end-stage renal disease, said Tuesday that it has raised 15M in a Series C funding roudn. The funding was led by Baxter Ventures and Boston Scientific Corporation, and also included Sante Ventures, S3 Ventures, TriStar Technology Ventures, ant others. The startup led by Adam L.
