    LiveOps Names Marketing VP
    Austin-based cloud contact center software developer LiveOps said this morning that it has named Baker Johnson as the company's new Vice President of Marketing. Johnson was most recently Director of Demand Generation at Zenoss, and also had served at Affiniscape, RTM Consulting, QuickArrow and Dell. Johnson will be based in Austin. LiveOps Full story)


    TextureMedia Acquired By Ultra/Standard
    Austin-based TextureMedia, which operates an online, social media community focused on hair care and beauty, has been acquired by Ultra/Standard. Ultra/Standard is a provider of multicultural hair care and beauty products. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.     Mozido Completes CorFire Acquisition
    Austin-based financial software developer Mozido said today that it has finalized its acquisition of CorFire, a developer of digital payment and commerce software aimed at mobile network operators. Mozido says it now owns 80 percent of CorFire, with SK Holdings Co. Ltd. retaining 20 percent of the company.     Perk.com Acquires AppRedeem
    Austin-based mobile rewards and loyalty service Perk.com said late Monday afternoon that it has acquired AppRedeem, which operates a mobile video rewards service. AppRedeem was based in San Francisco. Perk.com said the all stock deal is worth approximately $2.5M (or C$3,326,404). Perk.com will give stockholders of AppRedeem a total of 831,601 shares of its common stock. Perk.com said AppRedeem had revenues of approximately $3.2M for the 12 months e (More info...)
