    Continuum Analytics Gets $24M
    Austin-based Continuum Analytics, the developer of the Anaconda open source analytics software, said Thursday that it has raised $24M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by General Catalyst Partners and BuildGroup. Continuum's Anaconda software, which is based on Python, is used for big data visualization and analysis. Continuum was founded by Travis Oliphant and Peter Wang. The company says it has now raised a total of $34M in funding.

    BarkHappy Launches Social Networking App for Dogs
    Austin-based BarkHappy, a new startup developing mobile apps aimed at dog owners, launched this week, looking to help dog owners set up play dates and find dog-friendly locations. The startup, led by Ninis Samuel, offers up iOs and Android apps which help dog owners find dog friendly restaurants, parks, hotels, and more, and also lets dog owners find other nearby dog owners and set up meetups.     Favor Snaps VP Of Engineering From Solarwinds
    Austin-based mobile delivery app developer Favor has named a new VP, saying Thursday that it has named Michael Nels as its new VP of Engineering. Nels was most recently VP of Software Development at SolarWinds, where Favor said Nels was responsible for all product engineering, Web applications, business applications, and DevOps for SolarWinds. Favor says it now has over 50 full time employees.

    OpenKey Signs Kaba
    Dallas-based OpenKey, which is developing a standard set of technology for hotel owners for keyless entry into rooms, said this week that it has integrated with access management and lock maker Kaba. The two said that all Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Near Field Communication (NFC) locks produced by Kaba will be OpenKey compatible. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. OpenKey is led by TJ Person.
