Thursday, April 16, 2015 Cinsay Settles Patent Lawsuit Dallas-based cinSay, a developer of e-commerce related video technology, asid today that it has settled a patent lawsuit against Joyus. Terms of the settlement were confidential. Cinsay had filed a patent suit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, alleging that Joyus had infringed on its U.S. Patents, Nos. 8,312,486, 8,533,753, and 8,549,555. The deal is worth approximately $16M, made up of $9M in cash plus assumption of $7M in net liabilities. According to SailPoint, it has named Joe Gottlieb as the company's Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Gottleib has previously worked at such companies as Aerospike, Sensage, and McAfee.
