Tuesday, April 14, 2015 StemBioSys Finds $8M San Antonio-based StemBioSys, which is developing stem cell culture systems used to grow stem cells for research and development efforts, has raised $8M in a Series A funding, the company said this morning. StemBioSys said that Targeted Technology Fund led the financing, with a $2.25M investment, with more than 50 angels closing out the remainder of the round. StemBioSys is led by Bob Hutchens. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Phytel develops integrated population health management software, which is used by healthcare providers track chronic disease in their populations.
