    2X Software Acquired By Parallels
    Dallas-based 2X Software, which develops application virtualization, remote application delivery, and mobile device management, has been acquired by hosting and virtualization software developer Parallels, the two companies said Wednesday.     SpareFoot On Growth Tear, Aims To Hire 100 New Employees This Year
    Need a job in Austin's growing high tech industry? You might look over at Austin-based online self storage marketplace SpareFoot, which continues to be on a growth tear. The company said last night that it plans to have hired about 100 employees by the end of 2015, to help it continue to grow.     Pivot3 Raises $45M
    Austin-based Pivot3 said Tuesday afternoon that it has raised $45M, in a combination of equity and bank financing. According to the company, which is led by Ron Nash, the new funding came from Argonaut Private Equity, along with S3 Ventures, InterWest Partners, Mesirow Financial Private Equity and the Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati investment fund.     opvizor Launches New Product For VMware
    Houston-based opvizor, a developer of cloud-based software for virtualization and cloud computing, said today that it has launched a new product aimed at the VMware market. The company said its new product, Snapwatcher, helps discovery hidden, invalid, or broken snapshots in VMware, to help users free up disk space. Pricing on the new product was not announced. Opvizor is led by Dennis Zimmer.
