    Accordion Health Scores $60,000 From National Science Foundation
    Austin-based Accordion Health, which is developing healthcare analytics tools and services, said this week that it has been awarded $60,000 in additional funding from the National Science Foundation. The company said the funds go towards supporting a commercial contract. Accordion Health is developing health care analytics tools, which use data mining and machine learning to help measure health care expenditures.

    Indeed.com Plans Big Hiring Push In Austin
    Austin-based job site Indeed.com is planning to hire 300 employees in Austin next year, part of a plan to hire 1,000 workers at the company next year, the company disclosed Wednesday.     Pivot3 Rolls Out Backup, DR Appliance
    Austin-based Pivot3 has rolled out a new backup and disaster recovery appliance, which it says is aimed at helping companies to back up and recover virtualized applications and data. The company said its new Hyper-Converged Disaster Recovery Appliance (HCDRA) are simple to deploy and work with almost any DR software package. Pricing on the new appliance was not announced.
