    Periscope Holdings Buys BidSync, Backed By Private Equity Investor
    Austin-based Periscope Holdings, which develops software used by the public sector in procurement, said this morning that it has acquired BidSync, a developer of cloud-based procurement and bidding software. Financial terms of the deal were not announced, however, Periscope Holdings said that it was supported in the deal with an investment from private equity investor Parthenon Capital Partners.     Alliance Data Completes Conversant Buy
    Dallas-based Alliance Data said this morning that it has completed its $2.3 billion acquisition of online advertising company Conversant. Conversant will become part of Alliance Data's Epsilon unit. Alliance Data said the deal will be complementary to its existing business line, and help it scale in the areas of display, mobile, video and social digital channels.     BioWare Rolls Out Star Wars Expansion
    Austin-based game studio Bioware, which is a division of Electronic Arts, said Tuesday that it has rolled out an expansion to the studio's Star Wars: The Old Republic. The new expansion is called Shadow of Revn, and offers up five new levels in the game. The new expansion costs $19.99.

    Virtual Reality Treadmill Developer Virtuix Raises $2.7M
    Houston-based Virtuix, which is developing an omni directional treadmill designed for virtual reality environments, has raised $2.7M in a funding round, the company said today. The funding round came from Radical Investments, Scout Ventures, Scentan Ventures, Western Technology Investment, Tekton Ventures, 2020 Ventures, and others.
