    Krimmeni Technologies Gets $11.7M To Expand in Austin
    Krimmeni Technologies, a developer of cyber security software aimed at securing the "Internet of Things", said this morning that it has raised $11.7M in a Series A funding round. The funding specifically will go to expand the company's R&D group in Austin, along with sales and marketing. The funding came from Third Point Ventures and Pelion Venture Partners.     Comfy Improves Matching Of Students, Housing
    Austin-based Comfy, a startup rental marketplace, said today that it has launched a new version of its platform to help match students with apartment housing. The startup, which offers up its service as an app on iOS, said its software uses personalized algorithms to help students find better housing matches and rentals through interaction with a user, rather than requiring cumbersome fill-in forms.     6Qube ‌Finds $100K For Internet Marketing Software
    Austin-based internet marketing software maker 6Qube said this morning that it has raised $100,000 in a debt financing round, from Lighter Capital. According to 6Qube, the funding will go towards sales and marketing, as well as upgrades of its technology products. The funding is the first outside funding for the company, which is led by Jon Aguilar.     Spanning Acquired By EMC
    Austin-based cloud data backup and recovery provider Spanning Cloud Apps has been acquired by data storage giant EMC, the two said Tuesday. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. The two said that Spanning will continue to be based in Austin, and will become part of EMC's Core Technologies Division.
