    Newgistics Names COO At Tacit Knowledge
    Austin-based Newgistics, which offers up e-commerce products for retailers and brands, said today that it has named Trenton Brown as Chief Operating Officer for its Tacit Knowledge unit. Brown has previously served at SAP and Parametric Technology (PTC). Newgistics acquired Tacit Knowledge in August of last year. Tacit Knowledge is based in San Francisco.

    REDI Expands In Plano
    REDU, a developer of trade management software for the financial industry, said it is expanding in the Dallas area, and has moved into a new, 10,000 square foot office in Plano. REDI--which previously had an office in Frisco--said the new office will help it tap high-quality development talent, and provide an excellent quality of life for its employees.     Katalyst Opens Up London Data Center
    Houston-based Katalyst, a provider of data management tools and services aimed at the oil and gas and other industries, said today that it has opened up a new data center in Europe. The company said the new center is located near London, and comes on top of data center in Houston and Calgary, Alberta. Katalyst offers up subsurface data management for managing and storing seismic data.

    VCE Acquired By EMC
    Richardson, Texas-based VCE, a developer of cloud infrastructure hardware and products, said today that the company is becoming part of EMC, as part of a shift in the company's ownership structure. The company--which has been backed by EMC, Cisco, and VMware--said that Cisco will retain approximately 10% equity interest in VCE as it becomes a business unit of EMC.
