    Sabre Up Slightly In IPO Debut
    Southlake, Texas-based Sabre, which provides travel booking services, debuted on the NASDAQ Global Market on Thursday, rising slightly up in its first day of trading. Sabre priced at $16.00 per share on Wednesday night, pricing below its initial IPO range of $18.00 and $20.00 per share. The stock traded as high as $17.17 per share during trading during the day, and closed at $16.50.

    M87 Scoops Up $3M From Qualcomm, Others
    Austin-based M87, a developer of wireless network infrastructure software, has raised $3M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Qualcomm Ventures and 21Vianet, as well as angels. M87 is a spinout of the University of Texas, and is focused on improving the coverage and capacity of current wireless networks, using technology which creates a mesh of devices which share access to the network.     Malauzai Software Signs Up Vons Credit Union
    Austin-based banking software developer Malauzai Software reported a win Wednesday afternoon, with the Vons Credit Union, a credit union associated with the grocery store chain. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Malazaui said that Vons selected its mobile banking software to provide its 45,000 members with a mobile app that would better grow with its members' needs. The credit union has around $425M in assets.

    Spanning Links With Cloud Security Group
    Austin-based Spanning Cloud Apps the startup which is developing data backup and recovery software aimed specifically at cloud applications like Google Apps, said Thursday that it has joined the non-profit, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). Spanning said the CSA promotes the use of best practices in security within cloud computing.

    Transplace Wins Diamond Foods
    Dallas-based Transplace, which provides third party logistics, software, and technology, said it has scored a win with Diamond Foods. According to Transplace, Diamond Foods will expand its use of its software-as-a-service transportation management systems. Financial impact of the win were not announced. Diamond Foods is a packaged food company behind such brands as Pop Secret popcorn, Diamond of California nuts, and Kettle Brand Chips.
