    RetailMeNot Scoops Up Pickie
    Austin-based RetailMeNot said Tuesday that it has acquired Pickie, a New York-based startup developing personalized shopping magazines focused on fashion, beauty, and home. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. RetailMeNot said it will discontinue Pickie's service, and relocate Pickie's staff from New York City to Austin.

    FantasySalesTeam Lands Seed Funding
    Austin-based FantasySalesTeam, which develops sales motivation and sales contest software, has raised a round of seed funding, the company said Tuesday. The funding round came from ATX Seed Ventures, the Central Texas Angel Network, Marvel Venture Partners, and individual investors. FantasySalesTeam is led by Adam Hollander. The company's products are centered around fantasy sports-style sales competitions.

    FeedMagnet Acquired By Bazaarvoice
    Austin-based Bazaarvoice has acquired fellow Austin company Feedmagnet, in a deal worth $9M in cash, the companies said today. FeedMagnet, which was founded in 2009, develops social engagement software aimed at bolstering content marketing programs. The company was founded by Frank Burns, Marc Yagjian, Luke Sneeringer and Jason Ford.

    Worksoft Wins Inter-American Development Bank
    Dallas-based software developer Worksoft reported a win this morning that the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), a bank based in Washington, D.C., which provides development finance to Latin American and the Caribbean. Financial terms of the win were not announced. Worksoft said its tools will go to support a new SAP implementation, to help automate the validation of business processes in SAP.

    Tyler Technologies Wins $5.8M Contract
    Plano-based government software developer Tyler Technologies said yesterday that it has scored a $5.8M, contract win in Kansas City, Missouri. According to Tyler Technologies, Kansas City is replacing its permitting software with Tyler's EnerGov software product.

    Cirrus Logic Names VP
    Austin-based Cirrus Logic said Monday that it has named Eric C. Smith as a vice president and general manager at the company, heading up the company's energy product lines and other initiatives. Smith previously has served at companies such as Javelin Semiconductor, Intersil Corporation, D2Audio, Vitesse Semiconductor and Cicada Semiconductor.
