    NextIO Adds Distributor
    NextIO, the Austin-based developer of IO consolidation and virtualization hardware, reported today that it has added a new distributor, Promark Technology, as a reseller of its products in North America. NextIO said Promark will carry its vNET product suite for the data center.     ProspX Claims Growth in 2012
    Austin-based software-as-a-service developer Prospx said today it saw a record adoption rate in 2012 for its software for the commercial insurance industry. The company said it saw a 925 percent increase in carrier and broker users of its service. Actual financial details and how that translates into revenues was not announced by the company.     Lumesse Names Dell Vet As CEO
    Austin-based Lumesse, a provider of talent management services, has tapped a high tech veteran for its new CEO, the firm said today. Lumesse said it has named Thomas Volk as CEO. Volk was most recently at Dell, where the company said that he led Dell's commercial business in the UK, France, and Germany. Volk also was CEO of IDS Scheer, and also has served at Sybase and HP.

    Adometry Raises $8M More
    Austin-based Adometry, the developer of marketing analytics software, said today that it has raised $8M more in a round of financing. According to the company, the round was led by Shasta Ventures, and also included Austin Ventures and Sierra Ventures. Shasta's Jason Pressman joins the company's board as part of the funding.
