    NQ Mobile Powers Security for HTC App Store
    NQ Mobile, which provides mobile Internet services and security software, said it is powering the security check service HTC's new App Store in mainland China. NQ--which has joint headquarters in Dallas and Beijing--said its service will be used to identify malicious software before it can be circulated, and to pre-scan applications before being included in the HTC App STore. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.

    Dell Drops Smartphone Efforts, Android
    Round Rock-based Dell is abandoning its efforts in the smartphone market, saying Wednesday that it is not planning to re-enter the market anytime soon.     Audiogalaxy, Headed by Former Austinites, Sold To Dropbox
    AudioGalaxy, the operator of an online music streaming service founded by former Austinites Michael Merhej, Tom Kleinpeter, and Viraj Mody, has been sold to file sharing service Dropbox. Financial terms of the sale were not announced. Merhej is best known for having founded the original Audiogalaxy peer-to-peer file sharing service in Austin--shut down by the RIAA--out of hits dorm room at the University (More info...)
