![]() Monday, November 26, 2012 Black Friday Online Spending Hits $1.042 Billion Online, Black Friday spending totals hit $1.042 billion, according to the latest numbers from Internet measurement firm comScore, which reported that online sales were up 26 percent compared with Black Friday last year. The shopping day was the heaviest day yet in 2012, and bring the total spent online during the Nov-Dec holiday season to $13.7 billion. Today is Cyber Monday, traditionally the busiest day of the year for online shopping--much of it due to employees heading back to work and taking advantage of high speed connections to go shopping. According to Dell, in a survey released last week, 63 percent of businesses expect a greater decrease in productivity today, due to the Cyber Monday shopping crazy, compared with last year. Dorflinger as Chairman of the firm's board. Dorflinger succeeds founder Carty T. Fu, who is planning to retire at the end of the year. Dorflinger is General Partner of MAD Capital Partners, and has served on Benchmark's board since its IPO in 1990.
