![]() Thursday, May 24, 2012 BuyDRM Acquired By Korean Firm Inisoft Austin-based BuyDRM, a developer of digital rights management software used for controlling playback of media on PCs, Macs, mobile phones, and other platforms, has been acquired by Inisoft, a Korean firm developing video decoder software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. BazaarVoiec said it will pay approximately $151.9M for PowerReviews, which is privately held. The company said the deal will establish it in the small to medium sized market, and expand it to over 1,800 clients globally. posted on Thursday, May 24, 2012(Full story) SpareFoot Teams With Truck Rental Firm Penske In some big news for Austin startup SpareFoot, the provider of an online marketplace for storage units has inked a deal with Penske Truck Rental, to help customers of the two companies find and reserve both a storage unit and a moving truck together. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The move makes a lot of sense--people often will rent a truck at the same time they rent a storage space, to move their stuff to that space. Size of the contract was not announced. The deal had originally been announced in April. Make Technologies develops software which makes it easier to transition software from legacy systems to modern operating systems and computers.
