    Big In Japan Acquires Snappr
    Dallas-based Big In Japan, the mobile application developer headed by Alexander Muse, has acquired barcode scanning application Snappr. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. According to Big In Japan, the firm has been incorporating Snappr's technology into its own, mobile barcode scanning app, ShopSavvy. The firm said that Snappr's CEO and Founder, Philip Stehlik, will join the firm's board of advisors. Big In Japan said the acquisition would specifically help the firm (More info...)

    RadioTime Powers In-Car Radio
    Dallas-based RadioTime, a developer of Internet radio services and guides, said this week that the firm's service is powering a new, in-car web radio product. RadioTime said its web radio service has been integrated into the BMW MINI, via the auto manufacturer MINI Connected option, a USB interface for integrating Apple iPhone into a car's audio system.     BidModo Launches Small Business Marketplace
    New Austin startup BidModo is launching its web site today, saying that it has created an online, small business marketplace looking to connect buyer with vendors, and to help automate bid and matching processes. The firm said it is officially rolling out its service today in Austin, with plans to eventually roll out nationally to over 80 cities.
