![]() Thursday, March 4, 2010 GameStop Gears Up For Final Fantasy XIII Grapevine-based videogame retailer GameStop is gearing up for another big videogame launch, this time for Final Fantasy XIII. GameStop said last night that it is hosting midnight launch events for the upcoming game at more than 3,200 of its stores nationwide on Monday. The videogame retailer said the events will include costume contests, trivia challenges, and artwork contests. GENBAND had said it would buy the CVAS business from Nortel on December 23rd. The deal is worth approximately $282M, and is being funded by One Equity Partners and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to Worksoft, the buy will bolster its domain knowledge related to SAP applications. The firm said those impressions came from more than 750 clients, operating in 25 languages across 36 countries.
