 Thursday, February 4, 2010 Layered Technologies Raises $20M Plano-based Layered Technologies, a provider of dedicated hosting and cloud computing services, said this morning that it has raised $20M in an equity round. The round was led by private equity firm Accel-KKR, and also included prior investors Enhanced Equity Fund and Pangloss International. Layered said the funding will go towards funding growth and expansion of its services. According to Troux, Beiersdorf is using its software to help in its IT and enterprise planning. Beiersdorf is behind brands NIVEA, Eucerin, and La Prairie. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. According to the firms, Interphase is using Mindspeed's baseband processors on its iSPAN 36701 Wireless base Station Advanced Mezzanine Card. The firms said that the card provides LTE capability in conjunction with software from Aricent.
