    MEDHOST Acquired By HealthTech Holdings
    Addison-based MEDHOST, a provider of patient tracking systems for emergency rooms, was acquired this week by HealthTech Holdings, Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to HealthTech Holdings, the buy will help boost the firm's annual revenues to an excess of $100M in 2010. MEDHOST's emergency department software is used by medical staff to manage their patient care.     SmarteSoft Sees Growth In 2009
    Austin-based SmarteSoft, a developer of test automation software products, announced today that the firm had a record-breaking year, and grew more than 100 percent in 2009. The firm--which did not disclose financials behind the announcement--said the growth came despite the recessionary environment.

    MumboJumbo: Win Over PopCap Now At $7.3M
    Dallas-based MumboJumbo, a publisher of casual games for the PC and console market, said Tuesday that the firm's legal win over PopCap games has been upped to $7.3M. The firm said the amount is an increase of $2.7M, covering attorneys' fees in the case. The additional funds are on top of the existing $4.6M the firm has been awarded so far in its breach of contract agreement.     Dell Taps Firm For Cyber Security Effort
    Round Rock-based Dell said Tuesday that it has added a new, enhanced security service for its government customers, through a new alliance. Dell said it will provide its enhanced security service for desktop computing systems, and specifically its government customers, through an alliance with INTEGRITY Global Security, a provider of IT security products for the government, military, and commercial market.     ProspX Trumpets Results
    Austin-based Prospx, a developer of software for the commercial insurance industry, is trumpeting its 2009 results. The privately held firm did not disclose financials, but said it had "record" results in 2009. The firm said it signed up over 100 new agency and carrier customers during 2009, representing $29 billion in premiums in its network. ProspX is backed by Adams Capital Management.

    Bazaarvoice Lands Orvis
    Austin-based Bazaarvoice, a provider of ratings and review software for ecommerce web sites, said yesterday that outdoor equipment and clothing firm Orvis is adopting its software platform. Bazaarvoice did not disclose the financial impact of the deal, but said that The Orvis Company will use its Ratings & Reviews, Ask & Answer, and Stories product on its web site. Orvis sells fly fishing, outdoor clothing, hunting, travel accessories, and other products.

    ACS Snags Ohio Contract
    Dallas-based ACS said today that it has won a contract renewal in Ohio, for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, worth $163M over nine years. The firm said it will process child support payments for the Ohio department, as well as provide other mission-critical functions. The firm said the contract is divided into a one year base, plus four two year options.
