    SEC Accuses Mark Cuban Of Insider Trading
    The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said Monday morning that it has charged Dallas entrepreneur Mark Cuban with insider trading. According to the SEC, it claims that Mark Cuban sold 600,000 shares of stock of an Internet search engine company, Mamma.com, after learning that the firm would conduct a stock offering which would be dilutive to existing shareholders.     The Planet Launches Cloud Storage Service
    Houston-based The Planet, a provider of IT hosting services, announced an expansion into the cloud storage business. The Planet said it will offer its customers the ability to access an on-demand storage cloud service powered by Nirvanix. The Planet said the new cloud storage offering will initially be offered to its existing hosting customers, with access for non-hosted, storage-only customers becoming available in the first quarter.     nGenera Sells Talisma Assets
    Business intelligence software firm nGenera has sold some of the assets of Talisma Corporation, which it acquired in May, to a Florida Firm, Campus Management Corp. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. Campus Management Corp. said this morning that it has acquired the assets of Talisma CRM, the Talisma Higher Education business division, and Talisma Corporation Pvt.     Mavenir Partners For Wireless Offering
    Richardson, Texas-based Mavenir Systems Inc. revealed Monday that it has teamed with GetLisa Information Services Inc. to develop a comprehensive messaging and data solution for the Tier 2 and Tier 3 wireless carrier markets. Mavenir said the combined offering supports the SMSC, VoIP, WAP and MMSC platforms while providing applications for premium and local content.     Quantapoint Names President, CEO
    Quantapoint Inc., a developer of laser-scanning technology and related software, reported Monday that it hired John Wilson as president and chief executive officer. The Houston-based company said Wilson succeeds Eric Hoffman as CEO. Hoffman, Quantapoint noted, founded the company and had a hand in Wilson’s selection.     Mirage Networks Gets University Win
    Austin-based Mirage Networks Inc., a publisher of network-access control software applications, revealed Monday that a major Texas university has chosen Mirage to safeguard its residential network. Mirage said Texas State University, a public, four-year college located in San Marcos and boasting more than 29,000 students, will use Mirage's NAC solution to register devices and manage traffic.
