    Cognitive Technologies Gets Microsoft Award
    Austin-based Cognitive Technologies, a provider of IT consulting services for the Federal government and Fortune 1000 companies, said today that the firm has been recognized by Microsoft's Federal sales group. According to the firm, which focuses on project and program management, it has been chosen as "Rookie of the Year" by Microsoft Federal.     Surgient Adds Hyper-V Support
    Austin-based Surgient, which develops software for managing virtualized servers, said Wednesday that it has added support for Microsoft's Hyper-V hypervisor. According to Surgient, the latest version of its software, the Surgient Virtual Automation Platform 6.0, now also supports integratino with Microsoft Active Directory, a new interface, connection to and IBM Rational's BuildForge.
