    Dell: We're Number One In Open Storage
    Round Rock-based Dell said Friday that it has captured the lead position in the open systems external worldwide disk array storage market, citing numbers from analyst firm Gartner, Inc. According to Dell, citing Gartner numbers, it had 20.4 percent of the Windows/Linux external worldwide disk array storage market, with $422M in revenue, a lead over its nearest competitor, with 18.5 percent and $384M in revenues.     RideSearch.com Takes On Carpool Matching
    Carrollton, Texas-based RideSearch.com, a small online site run by Brian Bass, said Thursday that the site has launched a new service focused on helping commuters match up with others. The site said it has added new social networking features to the web site, that allow people to instant message others, a member rating system, better searching and mapping, and other features.     Airband Expands In Phoenix
    Dallas-based Airband Communications, a provider of fixed wireless Internet services, said Thursday that the firm has expanded its coverage into Phoenix. According to Airband, it is now providing its WiMAX-based services in the Greater Phoenix area, covering Scottsdale, Tempe, Deer Valley, Chandler, and Mesa.
